It helps that I'm poly, but I find "commitment" to be a little overrated. Affection, even love, isn't about swearing your entire life is about one person and one person only. I treasure all my partners, and even my friends I don't really consider "partners." Sure, I feel differently about all of them, and maybe it's not all equal, but you know what? We overthink this.
So I take the third option: throw commitment to the wind and see what happens anyways.
